SharePoint training is one of the most important stages of a SharePoint implementation to ensure that users are comfortable with using the system. Training plans need to be considered and recorded as part of a governance strategy and your training can also be determined by your ongoing support plan. We offer a variety of SharePoint training options so that you can choose the most suitable for your organisation.
We’ve helped many businesses implement and continue benefitting from SharePoint. We can advise you on suitable training plans, as well as SharePoint governance and support plans so that you choose the most cost effective, appropriate and above all, most beneficial training for your company.
We can offer training for SharePoint 2010, 2013, 2016 and SharePoint Online (standalone or part of Office 365) – just let us know your SharePoint version when you contact us.
Meet Jason, our SharePoint development guru. Jason knows SharePoint inside out and is a fantastic SharePoint trainer - having written many of the Microsoft training courses himself! Jason can help you to understand how to use SharePoint to its best advantage and make sure that you leave the course feeling confident and happy with all your questions answered.
Steve has a wealth of experience in Microsoft SharePoint having worked with SharePoint for over 7 years, designing and building a wide range of complex systems. Steve is our migration expert having helped move many clients to the latest versions of SharePoint. He is fantastic at helping end users understand the benefits and features of SharePoint thanks to his jargon-free training and engaging delivery.
To help you get the most appropriate level of SharePoint training we provide three different levels. If you are unsure of what is the most suitable level or would like us to help you to develop and organisation training plan, please contact us.
The three levels of training are:
Administrators – Site administrators are responsible for ensuring the platform is working as it should and the overall management of the system. In order to do this, administrators need a detailed knowledge of how SharePoint works and a great understanding of what goes on behind the scenes. Admin training is vital if you are maintaining SharePoint in-house but could be reduced if you are working with a SharePoint support partner.
Super users – Super users will have a more in-depth understanding of SharePoint, being taught system features and functionality. Having trained super users is extremely valuable, as they can become the internal ‘go to’ for anything SharePoint related. This can allow simple support issues to be handled internally and can also allow super users to go on to train other users to become super users – so that your organisation keeps this accumulated SharePoint knowledge.
End users – This end user training provides an overall feeling and understanding of SharePoint so that end users can happily perform their day-to-day tasks within SharePoint. This is aimed at non-technical users and will help them understand the benefits of SharePoint, how it can be used and ways to improve or speed up tasks. End user training allows staff to feel comfortable with a new system to encourage user adoption and reduce pressure on IT departments for support requests or how-to questions.
We can deliver SharePoint training in two ways:
This is training just for you and your business. We can work together to establish key areas you want users to learn about and can agree course outlines together. We’re very flexible with our training and just want to make sure your training objectives are met.
This can either be from our training centre in our offices (just outside Bristol) or we can come to you.
Costs can vary as they will be determined by the course length and the level of tailored content, so please contact us so we can discuss your requirements.
We can also run more generic training, which covers all the key aspects of SharePoint but won’t be tailored to your business. If you have an out-of-the-box solution it can work out as a more cost effective training method but it won’t cover business-specific processes. If you solution is tailored we highly recommend bespoke training, as it increases user adoption and shows the real value of SharePoint to your organisation.
Group training can either be from our training centre in our offices (just outside Bristol) or we can come to you.
