North Somerset-based business, Chorus, announced its office expansion earlier this year choosing to stay firmly in Portishead. Following on from their successful move in August, Chorus are now settled into their new flagship offices directly opposite to the new Sainsbury’s that also recently opened its doors on Serbert Way.

Since it was founded in 1999, Chorus have relocated three times to keep up with continuing expansion. Now settled at Serbert Way, the jump from 2,500 square feet of office space to 10,500 square feet is set to allow the business to continue its recession-beating growth. Not only due to the company expansion, the office move was also triggered by the desire to create an exciting and stimulating office environment for the valued Chorus staff to enjoy.

The new office gives us a great working environment, and has also allowed us to really invest in the staff area.

We work hard and we’re a close-knit team so it’s great to have a space where we can relax to play a game of pool, table football, console games or just watch some TV. Even visitors can have a go on the arcade game table in reception while they wait! With recruitment being so expensive and staff being key to the success of our business, giving employees (current and future) a working environment that they enjoy and that motivates gives us the competitive edge.

This means we will continue to grow and recruit the right staff which in turn means our clients will enjoy a continued excellent level of service and share in our success.

The offices have also allowed Chorus to let out their creative side with the implementation of vibrant colourful walls, glass meeting rooms, space invader graphics and also a huge graffiti wall which was created especially for the company by Cheo, a Bristol-based graffiti cartoon artist.

Keeping the business in Portishead was key thanks to its thriving business activity, growth and location.

With quick access to the M5/M4 we are able to offer our services anywhere in the UK.

We have a lot of exciting plans for the new office space in 2015, such as a training suite and event space for seminars and courses, so an easily accessible location was vital and with hotels, destination restaurants and bars, Portishead has become a great destination for these sorts of events.
