Effective information lifecycle management and protection with Microsoft 365

Data is an organisation’s most valuable asset and as the world is becoming increasingly digital, the amount of data being created and stored is growing exponentially. As people begin to work in new ways, protecting this growing data – especially unstructured data such as files and emails – is also becoming even more challenging. The ever-increasing volume of data collected and stored by organisations is understandably raising privacy and security concerns. To ensure that data is being responsibly processed and protected, organisations are having to adhere to increasing and ever-changing regulatory requirements. Failure to comply can result in fines and loss of credibility and trust from your customers.

Unfortunately, there is still a common mentality to retain all data forever, however, the more data that you store – particularly data that is no longer needed – the more that you increase your data risk. The introduction of GDPR means that organisations can no longer justify storing data indefinitely. Organisations need to carefully consider what data they hold and be able to justify its retention, as well as making sure that the right protective measures are in place.

As a result, managing the information lifecycle is essential and the focus has shifted from protecting a physical location to protecting the data itself wherever it goes.

In this webinar, we share our expertise on what effective information lifecycle management looks like, how to get started, and how you can use Microsoft 365 technologies to improve your data management.
