Agile System Design Bristol

Stage One: Fully understanding your business, situation, requirements and goals

We believe the very first stage of any project is the most critical. In order to deliver the best solution for your business we need to fully understand your business first. At the end of this stage we will have a detailed knowledge of your requirements and goals, which not only to allows us to start delivering the project, but also allows us to add our recommendations and suggest new ideas that can help innovate and streamline.

First steps:

  • Analyse

To best understand your business we speak to its experts – you. We do this by using a mixture of methods, from workshops to interviews, finding out about your current situation and the motives and need behind implementing a new system.

  • Audit

To understand your current situation, we carry out an audit (or a review) of the system that we will be improving. Depending on the project, this can involve looking at infrastructure, hardware, background processes, integrations etc. By gaining this knowledge we can pinpoint any issues we find as well as being able to recommend other solutions to cut costs, reduce time, or to streamline your business.

  • Scoping

We carry out a high-level scoping to start to find the basic requirements, desires and aims before going back for detailed requirement gatherings. By carrying out scoping in a continuous and agile fashion, any new requirements or changes can be incorporated into the project, which can often arise once into the project.

  • System design

After all the initial information is gathered we put together a proposal and a system design, outlining how everything will work and answering how all user requirements will be met. This document is continuously referred to and updated throughout the process – allowing new functionality to be added thanks to the agile methodology.
