Key Client Technical Lead role

This role is to act on behalf of Chorus and be the dedicated consultant for one of our key clients.
Main duties include assisting with Technical steering and road-mapping, Infrastructure related projects (Design and implementation), member of Secruity Group (focussing on identification and resolution of security issues within the group), identification of technologies to assist the business in achieving its goals.

 

 

Person Specification

  • A wide range of technical skills
  • The abilty to communicate at all levels of business and articulate technical solutions clearly to a non-technical audience
  • Excellent written skills writing technical diagrams, configuration and business documentation
  • 3 years+ experience in Managed Services or large scale/complex technical solutions
  • Experience in Hyper-V environments with experience in virtual server deployments and support
  • MCSE or equivalent experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the face of Chorus to the client - This is a key client for Chorus and it's imperative to act with the best interests of both the client and Chorus
  • Advise our Clients IT Director, IT Development Team and the wider business on all aspects of IT
  • Assist the client with the continuous improvement of their IT Systems with a focus on secruity
  • Ensure the clients targets for achieving accreditations are met
  • Work alongside the clients chosen external partners where required to achieve common goals
  • Technically qualify opportunities
  • Collect details sizing information
  • Architect solutions
  • Validate bill of materials
  • Ensure compatibility between components as part of a solution
  • Present solutions to Chorus and the client
  • Produce detailed design documentation 
  • Maintain awareness of and follow Chorus company procedures and guidelines, including secruity, regulatory and quality related matters and how these fit with clients 

Experience with the following:

  • Working within a Technical Lead/ Key account capacity
  • Enterprise-grade storage
  • Mobile device management
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
  • Office 365
  • Enterprise grade Firewalls/Routers/Switches
  • SIP/VoIP technologies
  • Minimum 2 years exposure to Virtualisation technologies e.g. Hyper-V/ VMware
  • 2-Factor Authentication
  • Microsoft Azure/Cloud technologies
  • Microsoft Desktop technologies (Windows 7 onwards)
  • Powershell
  • Cloud managed WiFi
  • Secruity products e.g SIEM solutions / Intrusion Prevention / DLP / NAC
