Development Support Engineer

We’re a leading digital agency and consultancy creating beautiful digital experiences. We specialise in Dynamics 365 / CRM, SharePoint, and complex websites and web applications requiring deep integration with other business systems.

You should be passionate about supporting our clients, making sure they get the most out of our solutions, understanding our core technologies, building your career and learning from some of the brightest minds. You will be a team player but also work effectively on your own to meet deadlines, liaising with the project manager, account managers, creatives and developers.

The environment is fast-paced, dynamic and cutting-edge. Working with the latest Microsoft stack technologies such as Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint and web development using Umbraco CMS, C# and modern frameworks and libraries such as Materialize and React. You will be supporting systems both hosted on-premise and in the cloud (Azure). The work will be predominately at the Chorus offices in Portishead, though there will be occasional work on our client sites (approx. 10-20%).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support of bespoke websites built using Umbraco CMS and extended through .NET and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Support of business applications built on Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, C# and Umbraco CMS
  • Ensuring our customers understand what they really need and what the best technical solution is


Personal Specification

These are the core skills you’d be using, but aptitude always beats a set of skills for us, so don’t be put off if you don’t hit some/lots of these or are coming from another technology stack and are prepared to make the transition.


You’ll probably have a Computer Science degree, or a degree in a Mathematics or Engineering degree with proven ambitions as a software developer, but talent wins over experience, if you can prove your talent and ability to support our rapidly growing client base.

  • Dynamics 365 (CRM) and Dynamics CRM 2016 and earlier versions
  • C# for plug-in development
  • JavaScript / JQuery
  • Integration knowledge
  • SQL Server and data modelling, understanding of normal forms
  • SSRS
  • SSIS
  • Fetch XML
  • CI – e.g. VSTS build & release
  • Consultative - able to discover what customers really want and guide them to the best solution for their business requirements

Other Skills / Technologies

  • ClickDimensions
  • MS-CRM Addons
  • Certified Scrum Master, and experience with SCRUM framework
