Security Sales Specialist

Our continued investment in our IT services capability has created an exciting opportunity for an experienced security sales professional. As the Security Sales Specialist you will work with the Sales and Marketing teams to identify security focused sales opportunities. You will be working closely with prospects and clients to understand their security challenges, risks, goals and requirements, whilst also working closely with our internal security teams to identify the best solutions aligned to the client’s needs. Although security products form part of the overall sale, this role focuses on positioning security consultancy and managed services, and would ideally suit individuals used to positioning multi-year managed services contracts or services specifically related to a Security Operations Centre (SOC).

The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new security leads and manage the end to end sales process to secure security services revenue for both consultancy and managed services.
  • Work on and create RFP’s/quotations and statements of work for customer requirements.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the security services portfolio
  • Help grow the companies’ security sales pipeline by generating new business
  • Engage with clients and prospects to understand their needs and help find the right solution for them
  • Arrange and attend client virtual and face to face meetings
  • Work with the marketing team to create relevant events to drive engagement attendance and customer opportunities.
  • Work with various teams within the business to ensure potential clients are provided with the best possible IT solution
  • Deliver customer presentations
  • Work to agreed targets and KPI’s
  • Effectively manage your own diary and pipeline
  • Maintain awareness of and follow Chorus company procedures and guidelines, including security, regulatory and quality related matters.
  • Comply with all relevant legislative and legal requirements, including industry regulations, employment law, Data Protection and Health and Safety.
  • Demonstrate behaviours that promote our values.
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested.

The Person

Required:

  • 5 years + sales experience in IT
  • Experience of working with multi-year managed services contracts, ideally within a security environment
  • Highly developed business and IT acumen
  • Experienced in engaging at the senior/executive level
  • Be passionate and driven to achieve great results
  • Be a quick learner that is keen to understand new technologies
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be client focused and proud of delivering excellent customer outcomes
  • Be great at building and developing relationships (both with clients and internally)
  • This is an external role and will require travel
