The Role

Role summary

As an Automation Engineer, you will focus on PowerShell scripting. You will have the opportunity to continue learning and you’ll find yourself in different situations and presented with new challenges on a regular basis. We are a Managed Services company which will provide you with cutting-edge technologies and projects.

Primary responsibilities

Your main responsibilities include:

  • PowerShell Engineer will be responsible for design, implementation and automation of PowerShell
  • Analyze and evaluate system project requirements and requiring a thorough understanding of all parameters affecting and interfacing with the system.
  • Develop PowerShell scripts for project requirements for our cloud based RMM System for automation.
  • Maintain and develop workflow rules for automation for our ConnectWise Manage Ticketing System.
  • Maintain and develop advancement for our BDR (Backup and Disaster Recovery) Systems, Microsoft Azure Backup, Altaro and Azure Site Recovery.
  • Maintain and develop advancement for our Patching System (part of the RMM).
  • Address Helpdesk, Backup and Restore, ConnectWise Manage and Automate, requests or issues.

 

There will also be opportunities for Professional Development:

  • Develop skills to properly propose additional products and services to help prospects and clients achieve their key priorities.
  • Participate in company-sponsored job-related activities and training to further develop your skills.   

Location

You will be based at our offices in Portishead, just outside of Bristol and off the M5 with great access and free parking but the role also includes off-site work at client sites.
