ServiceNow Platform Engineer

The Opportunity

The Role

You will be responsible for the ongoing development and configuration of Chorus’ ServiceNow environment spanning CSM, ITSM and ITOM modules, as well as any other modules adopted over time. The Platform Engineer will work with other relevant stakeholders to ensure that all customers are fully onboarded and making use of system functionality, and that those services and functions evolve over time in line with a continuous improvement approach.

In addition, you will work with business leaders, architects and functional management to ensure that operational processes and approaches are embedded within the platform, and aligned to industry best practices, in order to improve overall efficiency of the operation and continually develop and enhance the customer experience. You will also be responsible for third party systems integration, both ensuring the functionality of existing integrations as well as playing a key role in identifying and establishing any new integrations that may be required over time.

You will act as the ServiceNow champion internally, keeping abreast of all developments and new feature releases and assisting in understanding how they can achieve tangible business outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities

    • Consult with IT internal requesters, projects or business customers on the ITSM platform (ServiceNow), its modules and interfaces
    • Design and develop solutions to meet business needs and challenges
    • Gathering requirements and scope out projects
    • Estimate effort for all customisations, integrations, configurations and development work
    • Hands-on implementation, configuration and customization on the platform
    • Responsible for technical documentation
    • Work with our internal trainer to ensure any changes are effectively conveyed to users
    • Provide advice and guidance to get the most out of the platform and learn about the latest features
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for support, administration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform and associated applications
    • Review and modify existing ServiceNow CMDB patterns as needed.
    • Creation, configuration and management of Service Request Catalogues and underpinning workflow automation components
    • Develop integrations with other applications to support data sharing and process automation
    • Creating and configuring of reports, dashboards, schedules, access, permissions, credentials and other operational activities
    • Overall administration of the platform
